Saratoga Springs sits on the west shore of Utah Lake and has grown from a small town into a busy city in a short time. Much of its housing is new, and plenty of those homes still have unfinished basements, bare backyards and builder-grade kitchens.
That makes it a natural place for basement finishes, deck builds and first remodels. Open, sunny lots mean decks and exterior work need to handle strong summer sun and winter snow, and growing families often want extra bedrooms and a second living area downstairs.
Because so many homes here are only a few years old, the structure is usually sound and the work is about finishing and upgrading: framing and insulating the basement, adding a bathroom, and replacing plain trim and cabinets with something better.
